Introduction

Scott served in the British Army for over 10 years before leaving to read law at Northumbria University. In parallel with legal studies Scott ran his own legal agency and gained invaluable experience at all levels of litigation. After successfully completing pupillage Scott accepted tenancy at Durham Chambers in 2005 before moving to Fountain Chambers. Scott has capatilised upon his previous experience and quickly developed a busy criminal practice and an expanding ancillary relief practice.

Criminal

Scott is a well established Crown Court practitioner who has appeared for both the prosecution and defence in matters of the utmost gravity, including Murder, Manslaughter, Drug Trafficking, Conspiracy, Serious Violent Offences, Firearms Offences, Fraud, Robbery, Rape and other Sexual Offences.

Scott has appeared in the Court of Appeal in relation to appeals against conviction and sentence and the High Court in Case Stated matters.

Family Litigation/Private Law

Scott has an interest in Ancillary Relief and Financial Provision and also appears in all Children Matters, Domestic Violence, Injunctions and Committals.
